Dublin Web Fest 2016 Officially Launched at Bank of Ireland Grand Canal Dock

Last Thursday, Dub Web Fest 2016 was officially launched with a party at the HQ of BOI Startups in Grand Canal Square.

We were delighted to enjoy the presence of our special guest Eddie Jackson as well as that of many attendees from different areas of the filmmaking industry and local media. The occasion served as stage for the launch of  twistedmirror.tv, a platform to stream web series, created by Erol Mustafov and Mikael Thiery, founders of Dub Web Fest which focuses on creative series, short films, comedy sketches and music videos.

As always, the festival’s organisation was supported by Dub Web Fest’s partners and supporters: Ambassade de France en Irlande, The Liquor Rooms, Le Petit Journal, Filmbase, The Irish Academy of Public Relations, Red Bull and 103.2 Dublin City FM.

Dublin Web Fest 2016 will take place between the 18th to the 20th of November. It’s the festival’s second edition and it will feature entries from all over the world, including several world or European premieres.


Dub Web Fest is the First Webseries Festival in Ireland. Established by French Filmmaker and Web Series Creator, Mikael Thiery and Videography Ireland Director, Erol Mustafov, The Dublin Web Fest (DubWebFest) unites digital media and tech worlds. We showcase screenings, host Youtube panels and welcome TV and Film production professionals to Dublin’s Filmbase over the course of three days.
